Recently we went looking for the Big Four Ice Caves here in the Granite Falls/Mt. Baker area. Unfortunately, the bridge was out so we made it to a clearing with some sunshine and a passing river to relax by. After a little break we turned around and went to the local falls/fish ladders to try and take more advantage of the cool breeze during these hot July days. MAN the water was cold!!
We had a blast this past weekend visiting with some family and witnessing a whole pod of Orcas, some Grey Whales and Humpback Whales 🐋! The San Juan islands are one of my favorite places. We saw some sea-lions fighting for space on a floating buoy and my heart is full ❤️ Thankful for the opportunity to experience this with loved ones. Can’t wait to go back!
We used the rest of our weekend getting up early for the beautiful sunshine outside. Went to a local spot and took our time walking along the Stillaguamish River admiring the reminder of the historic rail road tracks that were abandoned due to a rock slide. 10/10 would visit again.
Spring time is here and we are using every minute of it we can get! We spent the evening with some family watching the sun go down over the hill here at Gas Works Park. Fun Fact! Did you know that back in the early 70’s it was actually called Myrtle Edwards Park?
This year we spent Mother’s Day celebrating that we can all see each other again! After a lifetime of being indoors and away from people we finally got the chance to introduce some family to each other! I am grateful!
Enjoyed a trip to the annual Tulip Fields Festival in beautiful northern Washington. It was so crowded, glad I had a mask and most other folks did as well. Nice to get out and breath in the allergies. 😉😆
We visited Skamania and the local city of Stevenson this March, going on morning walks around the property and catching the sunrise. We witnessed a double rainbow during a beautiful sunny/cloudy day and had some greats tacos from a local place.
